Blank meme: [link]I decided to jump on the bandwagon. It seemed fun. I couldn't really fit everything I wanted, but I think I did pretty well, even if I didn't stick to the recommended sizes.
Allow me to explain:
xDplushie:
Sarah, better known as xDplushie, is a digital artist whose awesomeness cannot be expressed with words. Go check her out: *xDplushie
Princess Tutu:
Despite the name, this series is phenomenal. It's beautiful, emotional, and the concept is really interesting. Watch it. I command you.
phatpuppy:
I have been watching *phatpuppy for over a year now. She churns out so many photomanipulations that it's hard to keep up, but every one of them is beautiful. Her daughter is a singer and a stock artist, and both of them have inspired me.
My Hometown:
I live in a really beautiful city. The air is clean, there's a lot of nature and water everywhere, and it's not even a small place. In fact, it's the capital city of my state. My high school always has top SAT and ACT scores, and I just love where I live so much but I'll try not to ramble.
Toradora:
This series is one of my favorites. The characters are very real to me, and my thirteen-year-old heart nearly exploded with emotion when I first watched it all the way through.
Fullmetal Alchemist:
Much as I love Toradora, Princess Tutu, Hetalia, Avatar, and all the rest, Fullmetal Alchemist is hands down the most amazing show I have ever seen. I can't even really explain how good it is. The awesomely intense storyline is enhanced by the beautiful animation and the voice-acting of Romi Paku in the lead role. Both the original series and Brotherhood are worth watching - watch both, since they're very different.
Yuumei:
I can't even believe `yuumei . For one thing, there's Knite... so beautiful and evocative. Then there's the fact that, famous as she is, she uses her influence to promote environmental protection and to highlight the things that make us human with her art.
Christopher Moore:
My favorite author. His books are... artfully hilarious. If you have time, pick one up. Some are better than others - Lamb is the best.
ennabird:
An amazing photographer, whose work is made that much more impressive by the fact that she is even younger than I am. I started watching her about two thirds of the way through her 365. It was a great experience.
Miracle:
Miracle is my sister. Yes that's her legal name. No I didn't have a better picture. I don't even know who I would be without her... like, she always tells me what my favorite things are - she discovers things for me. She got me into almost everything on this chart except... coloring books, Christopher Moore, Toradora, Princess Tutu, and the four deviants. She's the best big sister ever, and I wish she didn't have to go to college next year.
Hetalia:
Hetalia, Hetalia. This really gave me my passion for... everything really. History, languages, love, life, the world. My entire summer centered around Hetalia. I have learned so much - not only have I learned songs in fifteen languages (seriously), I've also just learned so much about the relationships between countries and how the world works.
Avatar:
A sweet, funny, insightful, and generally well-done show. Pretty much the only good animated television to come out of the USA in the last decade.
Taiko Drumming:
Technically it's Okinawan Eisa, but we call it Taiko. That picture is of me, my sister, and our friends from DC in an Independence Day parade in Philadelphia - yes, more than 700 miles away from where I live. Because of Taiko, I have friends all over the world. It's really a cool feeling to perform as part of a group in front of so many people, knowing how unique an art it is you're doing.
Batman:
What can I say? He's Batman. The original animated series was really good, especially since Kevin Conroy voiced Batman. For several years, I wanted to be Batman. I still keep files on people. I'm a very good information collector. You didn't hear that.
Teen Titans:
Teen Titans, GO! First Japanese-style thing I ever watched, even though it wasn't Japanese. It was so innocently fun. Who doesn't love superheroes?
W.I.T.C.H.:
Second show I ever saw. Seriously. Never had a TV. I still love W.I.T.C.H. It was really interesting - like, unique. Not the concept, obviously, but the execution. And the voice actors too.
littlekuriboh:
I love humor. I'm told I have a good sense of it. I like seeing a random guy gain fame for his witty sense of humor (and mad voice talent). He knows how to make fun of himself, others, and mostly 4kids, but he also knows how to be serious when the situation demands it and is clearly just a normal guy (if very smart and funny) who happened to become an internet phenomenon.
Coloring books:
Who doesn't love coloring books? Okay, lots of people, but for people like me who can't draw, coloring books are really good, and they're just fun.
YSP:
Last but not least, the Young Shakespeare Players, better known as YSP (because who wants to say all that?). We are not some kiddy Shakespeare company. We do full-length Shakespeare plays, and there are no auditions or rejections. No one is denied the opportunity to get a part of at the very least 100 lines. I joined when I was nine, and it was really life-changing. I made so many friends, and have a deep appreciation for the language of Shakespeare.
The end.

Eli, you seem to be entirely missing the point of Hetalia. Sure some
of the characters are gay sometimes, but that's because they're mostly
men and historically they have to have romantic relationships with each
other. So even though Hetalia may seem to be total crack, it's actually
very informative, especially about relationships between countries, and
it has made me much more culturally and historically aware and super
excited for Western Civ. So don't hate, okay?

It's true that it's historically accurate and stuff.
but still. I just don't like it. at all. especially due to people from Japanese camp talking every day about "OH I THINK I'M A MIX OF ITALY AND PRUSSIA LOLOLOLOLOL" while wearing Switzerland's flag as clothes.

My advice for you is... DON'T GO TO JAPANESE CAMP. It's not like it's the show's fault that people are rabid drooling idiots - people like that go freaky fan over everything.

BUT JAPANESE CAMP IS SO GREAT. There's only a few people like that.
