I'm trying to design a site for my uncle. He's been waiting for this since ages, and it's about time he gets it. I'm totally stuck. I want to improve this, but I have no idea how.He's a hardware retailer or something. So the design and everything has to be fitting. I don't know if this looks appropriate for such a website.
I could use any suggestions and critique you may have.
(Oh, and ignore those prices and specs, of course. I just picked some random numbers and stuff.)

It has been mentioned before and I agree: a shadow or a transparent layer behind the product infos.. except this lil detail I dont have any suggestion.. looks neat and stylish!

i don't think the beige goes well with the overall feel of it while I find the main digitized font to be appropriate I don't think the brackets around the images help carry out the the theme... I like all you have done witht he blue the content seems containe din a little bubble tho giving you lazy edges on your layout play around with placement of elements and remmeber his primary audience resolution will probably be 800x600

What are you going to do with other resolutions?
I'm not at all crazy about the font used for the heading. I don't mind the glow, but I think a moderner font in a darker colour would give the site a more confident and professional look, or something. A bigger version of the look of the text you've used for the browsing link things would be good. The blue colour coming from the yellow is very nice. What's with the kerning on 'newsletter'?
It's looking good.

Drop a shadow behind the product pics, hey it worked for DA's thumbnail browsing. I dont know what you think it needs though. And as long as the site looks good it works, a lot better than Fry's Electronics Site. http://www.frys.com/ lol

I like the whole thing except the text at the time. The glowing can be good if done correctly. I see you want to have like a digital lookin font so it relates to the website but I would rather use something like bold italics.... Its up to you, but this looks good. Pro stuff.
