Description Process of my last painting. Sorry about the jump in progress between image 2 and image 3, but it was basically just blocking in colors and basic shapes.Β

amazing pictureΒ
is this 1 or 2 point perspective? I'm trying to learn to figure out the difference by looking at examples or drawings, but i really can't and get confused all the timeΒ

Thanks! It's 2 point, you can tell by the bridge, which converges with the horizon off canvas to the right (Vanishing point), and the other vanishing point is somewhere on the left, maybe off canvas as well, you can see the line of people getting smaller towards that point. I'm not that great at explaining things Β

Like I said below, probably 3-4 hours (didn't keep track).

I dig this. On average how long does it take whip up a little number like this? Pre-vis work?

Over the course of 2 days it was maybe 3 or 4 hours. No pre-vis, just got an idea while playing DA Inquisition and jumped straight in.

Thanks! Indeed, I wanted to hint at a story but not enough to really form anything concrete, enough for the viewer's imagination to interpret it.

You mean a traditional painting? Even if it is digital it still is a painting! I know what you mean though, thanks!

Interesting to see your progress! The second part is a photo mashup which you draw over?

It's just one photo, mainly to figure out the bridge values.
