When I was 8 or 9, I asked my dad for a father-daughter day. He said OK, what do you want to do? I asked if he would take me, just me, fly-fishing. He did. I lost 3 of his precious flies, but he controlled his disappointment at that and kept teaching me, and it's one of my best memories. Maybe it's selfish, but could you do a tribute to daughters and their fathers in a similar setting as your father-son scenes?
Before, I told you how I always hated TV broadcasts where people held up signs that said "HI MOM!" It made me so angry that no one ever said "HI DAD!" and it was my dream to be able to do that on TV someday. But I was so in the country that I counted foxes on my ride to school growing up, so no TV cameras around to catch the crowd. So I'd give him bear hugs and butterfly kisses everyday instead, and kept dreaming. But what you sketch for your family moments are what I had with my dad, and I'm so glad you are a father like that, too.
