A few weeks ago I posted some unfinished sketches, and tests that I wasn't too keen on.This is another one.. I do like it but it was just a test for something That I didn't succeed in doing.
That said.. I learned something else that I wasn't looking for when I did it..so it is a success ! funny how that works!

it's always nice to see the story so vividly through your art.

I learned more about colors, and how much they relate one to another.. I am not sure how else to explain it, but...evry drop of paint somewhere on the canvas alters your perception of every other bit of color everywhere else on the canvas.. it's amazing

I love the angle of this image and the sunlight is beautiful. I can imagine the trumpet music--I don't play that instrument, but I love the way it sounds.
Again, I always admire your willingness and determination to grow as an artist! You inspire me to try new things in my art and post images that I may not think are my best work.
Reminds me of Of Monsters and Men's version of "Skeletons" (song originally by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs): [link] There's a really pretty trumpet part at about 0:55 in the song that reminds me of this image.
