~Mythic Fantasy~

Has your girl ever wondered what it would be like to be one of the Mythics? Now's your chance to show us!

Objective: Draw your Crystal Animamate as a Mythic senshi! Can be any Mythical animal/creature!

Guidelines: Must have Sailor Collar and your Animamates Crystal! Everything else is free game!

Thus came into being Mythic Senshi Heliotrope Garuda.

In keeping with the Indian theme I inadvertantly created when I first designed Heliotrope Shikra, I chose the Garuda as her mythical creature. Not only is the garuda a bird-like creature, it is also associated with her elements of dust and heat, is a creature from Hindu folklore, and its colors were even similar, though I'd say more rust than reddish black. The garuda is typically known as being the "ride/mount" of the Hindu Lord Vishnu.

I actually want to redesign my design of her, but as the deadline looms, this first draft will have to do. I gave her a raptor-head headdress topped by an elaborate jeweled crown, wings (obviously), bird-scales on her legs and feet, and turned her back bow into a feathered tail.

(On a side note, I felt the need to add a background (I think I'm a little background obsessed), and I grabbed onto Medieval runes for the archway. There's no infernal message there or anything; it just says "Crystal Animamates" over and over.)
