Description
ImageA long wait, standing by for the sun to appear and to capture the remains of the coastal flowers that carpet the cliff tops this time of year. I dashed out the car into the rain after spotting a glimmer of hope as the sun appeared under the rain clouds. I quickly set up my gear and made my exposures before the sun disappeared over the horizon.

Well that's the tone of the sky when I saw it, although it might ad drama it's not how the sky seemed.
Guy.

Wonderful thing about photography is that we are artists. The eye doesnt see long exposures but we use them to show motion in our work. Same with milky way shots, etc.

I do understand where you are coming from, don't get me wrong. However I feel that I myself am more of a documenter rather than an artist. The art is already in front of me all I am doing is capturing it the way I see it.

Really nice image Guy, great foreground, and catch of the last light on the horizon. The crop looks quite narrow, was there distractions in the original crop that you had to cut off?

No, it's how I wanted the image to look, as the sky wasn't that exciting and the sun set so close the focus point of the Lighthouse without the crop the image would look unbalanced. Thanks

Great shot! Reminds me in many ways of one of my shots. Location and condition wise. I thought it was the same place at first glance [link]

Great Photo! I surf there quite often but have never ventured up there with the camera. Might be time to check it out!
