Graey foxes lived in southern half of USA, Central, northern parts of South America, which it is one of the dogs who can climb trees. Dominated by the best known fox, the red fox, these grayish dogs are known to be eastern USA's common foxes ever found, but they still lived in urban places, where these foxes to be threatened by deforestations, so the red fox became the fox that can dominate smaller foxes. The claws of the graey fox can allow this fella to climb trees, in order to escape from domestic and feral dogs, coyotes, even black bears, wolves, jaguars, and pumas, despite the graey fox and the tanuki(aka raccoon dog) are one of the arboreal canids. Also the graey fox can reach food from trees to trees. Not all red foxes are like that to their graey cousins, in some areas where the red and graey foxes coexisted, they can dominate each other.
