Rivalled against the Giant Forest Hog(Hylochoerus meinertzhageni), that the Wild Boar is one of the 2 largest pigs in the wild, but that wild boars are the living ancestors to our domestic pigs. The females-only group is called a "sounder," which we know that wild pigs like warthogs lived in herds. Young adult males left their sounders as they grow up, and they can live in the gender-bent versions of the sounders, but adult and elder males are complete solitary outside the sounders. A female sounders are consisted of several females, and their piglets, all lead by an old sow whose a matriarch of the sounder. Male pigs are called "boars," female pigs are called "sows," and baby pigs are called "piglets." Wild Pigs might be more popular in the Greek Mythology, which include the monsters that looked like pigs, such as Phaeia the Crommyonian Sow, Erymanthian and Calydonian Boars, and one of the humans who've been turned into pigs by an evil sorceress Circe. Not all pigs are vicious, but they are cute, when they are piglets, and even small adult species of pigs like the smallest and most endangered species of pig, the Pygmy Hog(Porcula salvania). One of the famous pigs, like Wilbur from Charolette's Web, and Piglet from the series of Winnie the Pooh, and rarely, the boar who adopted an orphan pig named "I'll Never Be Sausages," from the TV series, Animals of Farthing Wood, but the boar was a minor character. Speaking of sausages, pigs are used for meat, like pork.
