I have a confession to make…I’ve lied to you.
Pretended to be someone - (something)
I am not.
Pretended to be fine, to have it all together.
Pretended to know what was coming next,
When the truth is, I have no idea,
And I don’t want to…
Pretended that I don’t cry myself to sleep,
Every night – (anymore).
Pretended that I could live without you,
That I could live at all.
Pretended that I don’t need it,
And it’s twisted love,
When the truth is, I struggle every day,
And I’ve come so close…
I have a confession to make…
I’ve lied to you.
