Although Amethyst is the youngest of the two, she is often mistaken for the older twin because of her maturity (Her sister calls it "being a stick in the mud"). She is reserved and shy, often coming across as cold and unfeeling towards strangers. However, having to constantly clean up after her sister's shenanigans helps her make new friends on the daily. She prefers to keep to herself, afraid that those she considers close friends don't reciprocate, when in reality she is loved by all willing to get close to her.

Opal is the oldest of the twins by two minutes (Everyone knows this because she loves to brag). Despite being older, she is far less mature- she loves playing pranks with newcomers and joking around with friends, being an extremely social pony. She and her sister both are extremely attached to their culture and believe themselves to be very spiritual, which influenced her to wear a hijab. She doesn't mind taking it off, however,for more intense prank-pulling, as the cloth is very delicate and dear to her. Though she often picks on her sister for acting "up-tight", she loves her dearly.
