Marigoldflame: She was...my absolute best friend. She was always there, ever since we were apprentices...always helping me out. I guess I always thought that, someday, we might be together. I never imagined her leaving--she was such a staple of the Clan! But life doesn't always work out that way. I don't know...

Stormwish: My former apprentice! She's wonderful and I love her <3
Berryrose: Though not by blood, Berryrose is my daughter! I would do anything for her, and I'm sad I had to leave SunClan.
Mistysoul: My best friend since our SkyClan days. Seeing her again at the RainClan border...changed my life, really. I didn't realize how lonely I was til I realized how much I missed her. She's now my mate and I love her so much!!

* Frogsplash was originally based off of Homestuck's Land of Frost and Frogs -- her warrior name was almost Frogfrost.
* Sometimes she gets hiccups. They would sound like tiny frog croaks.
* She forgets to put her tongue back in her mouth a lot.
* She's obsessed with birds, and fascinated by them. Hummingbirds are her favorite.
* She loves snow, and actually performed better in snowy conditions. She likes swimming too. Would have joined RainClan originally but she wanted to go with Marigoldflame >u> now she's back where she belongs with her soulmate!
* She's immune to trains
* Yes I actually named her parents after Davekat and her siblings after the other homestuck lands (Land of Wind and Shade = Windshadow, Land of Light and Rain = Lightrain, Land of Heat and Clockwork = Heatstroke.)
* When Sparkey left TWG, MarigoldFrog ended, so Froggy doesnt really know what to do with herself. She's focused all her attention on Berrypaw.
* When Noctuus rejoined TWG, Frogsplash's old mate Silversoul (now Mistysoul) was reintroduced, so we decided to move Frogsplash to RainClan to be with her again <3

It had been a long and hard day. While Marigoldflame had always expected the position of Deputy to be hard, she had never quite imagined how hard it would be. Was she doing the job properly? Was she perhaps doing something wrong? Just earlier this day a tom named Deepripple had ignored half of her requests, and started telling her patrol what to do. Truthfully she knew she shouldn't really be that upset about it, but it had just played on a bunch of her insecurities about accepting the position when Sunchase... Sunstar had offered it to her.
Finding one of the more secluded parts of the Camp, the white and ginger calico sat down with an exhausted sigh.

Frogsplash was returning from a long hunting training with her apprentice Stormpaw by the time the sun was about to set. Her calico apprentice dashed off to get some well-earned dinner, something Frogsplash realized she should do as well when her stomach growled at her. It was on her way to the fresh-kill pile when she noticed Marigoldflame sitting kind of far off -- the calico she-cat was always on the lookout for where her Deputy was -- and seemed a bit...sad.
Picking up a plump squirrel, Frogsplash made her way over to her friend. The gold and white tabby might not be hungry, but...
"Would you like to share?" Frogsplash mewed as she placed the squirrel at her paws.

Jolting a little in surprise, Marigoldflame glanced over at her friend. Frogsplash must have spotted her here, and probably thought she needed some company. While Marigoldflame could have done without the company of the others right now, she was quite happy to share a meal and conversation with the clumsy looking calico.
"Sure," her mouth twitched into a smile, glancing a little past Frogsplash's shoulder at where Stormpaw was helping herself to something off the Freshkill pile. "Been out with Stormpaw today?" She asked, settling down into the grass in front of the squirrel, shuffling aside so that Frogsplash could sit next to her.
"I hope you two are getting used to each other?"
It had all been a bit of a flash job, getting Apprentices assigned to Mentors, it had been hard considering how many of them there were, so Marigoldflame hoped that the choices she and Sunstar had made were good ones.

"Yeah...she's great. Maybe a bit too excited, but, I can't blame her. I remember how it was to be an apprentice. I worry my poor mentor had to deal with my own bundle of energy, poor Scratchpad." She laughed, "But she's lovely. Quick learner, very motivated. You did a great job assigning them."
She knew that all the apprentice and mentor duties were the deputy's responsibility, and with how quickly they had to set up camp and such, it really was incredible how much Marigoldflame had done. SunClan was lucky to have her.

Marigoldflame couldn't help but laugh a little at that, remembering the small bundle of energy Frogsplash had always been. Her Mentor really needed a lot of stamina to keep up with her, but as the calico had come out okay, she couldn't fault Scratchpad's efforts.
She did feel a small flare of reassurance at her friend's words though, and like that all her doubts seemed to melt away. She knew that Frogsplash didn't offer false flattery, even to a friend, so she was grateful for the compliment.
Finishing off her half of the food she'd been offered, Marigoldflame glanced out to Camp, and then towards the exit.
"Do you want to maybe go for a walk somewhere? I think my duties for the day are done."

Marigoldflame's laugh was a welcome sound, and Frogsplash couldn't help but smile. The orange-and-white Deputy must be under a lot of stress, so any opportunity that Frogsplash could take to relieve some of that, she absolutely would. Marigoldflame was hardworking, and was admired for it; no doubt that was why Sunstar chose her as deputy. Frogsplash worried though that she was overworking herself.
That's why Marigoldflame's offer to go for a walk was such a good idea. It would help both of them to take some time for themselves, and stretching out their legs would be nice, not to mention it would be with good company. The walk itself would probably relieve both of their stress; but more importantly...Frogsplash was always willing to be alone with Marigoldflame.
At that realization, the calico coughed slightly. Taking the last few bites of their meal, Frogsplash felt a twinge of heat rise to her cheeks. A walk? Alone? With Marigoldflame?
"How could I refuse," she teased, trying to downplay how excited she actually was. "When my deputy calls, I follow. But in all seriousness, a walk does sound lovely," despite being on her paws all day with training Stormpaw, the calico suddenly felt fidgety, and was already on her paws to leave.

Marigoldflame felt a small streak of awkwardness hit her at Frogsplash's willingness, it was not an uncomfortable or unpleasant spell either, if anything it caused the beating of her heart to quicken. She took a deep breath to calm herself again, pushing even the suggestion of an inappropriate thought from her mind. Frogsplash was her friend, her good and long time friend. While they were the same age, the gold and white calico had always felt a sense of protectiveness over the other female as well, and she had eyed off many suitors in the past she felt were not good enough to walk by Frogsplash's side.
And she could see why others had been so interested, Marigoldflame wasn't naive to the charm of the smaller calico's sweet nature, and even the rather amusing way her voice seemed to get louder the more excited about something she became. But it was only natural that she would notice those things, as Frogsplash's friend, that was what Marigoldflame told herself at least.
Recovering from her awkwardness, the calico nodded, dipping her head towards the Camp exit.
"Should we be on our way then?" She began to walk at a slow pace, glancing back to make sure Frogsplash was following her, before she increased to a proper walking speed.

Frogsplash was already by Marigoldflame's side, "Ready when you are," she purred softly, matching the deputy's pace as they made their way out of camp.
She didn't really care which direction they needed to head, so she let Marigoldflame take the lead, choosing instead to follow. That was usually Frogsplash's first thought anyway, was to follow; she wasn't much of a leader, always preferring to let someone else do the hard decision making. Lucky for Frogsplash, Marigoldflame was a great leader, and the calico trusted her judgement. Though, as far as walks go, there wasn't really any hard decisions to be made.
"So," Frogsplash started the idle chit-chat, "How have you been, lately?"

Pausing a little as they left the Camp, Marigoldflame considered the question, she wasn't the sort to give long and detailed answers to things like this, Frogsplash had always been better at handling things like emotional expression. But, she was able to give short statements that summed up the general idea.
"I've been fine" she nodded slowly, "Keeping up with everything is tiring, but I'm managing."
It wasn't like she was doing everything alone after all, Sunstar was there as well, even if Marigoldflame found his diplomatic approach, occasionally a little frustrating.
"What about you? Are you settling into Sunclan?"
Honestly she'd been a bit surprised when Frogsplash had turned up in Sunclan as well, not that she wasn't delighted to see her friend here, she'd thought Frogsplash would have gone somewhere like Rainclan.

The calico knew that Marigoldflame's short answer was about as elaborate as she would get, and that was alright. "I'm glad to hear it," Frogsplash smiled, watching her paws so she didn't trip over anything and embarrass herself. "If you ever need help, please don't hesitate to ask me. I mean, I've got Stormpaw's training, but I can always find time for you."
Her question for Frogsplash was a bit tough to answer, so the smaller female thought about her response for a second, "I'm settling in pretty well. It's still a bit...hectic," she chose the word carefully, "with all the moving around and figuring things out. Definitely different than how SkyClan was -- in a good way, of course -- but we have good leaders that make it better."
If Frogsplash were to choose a Clan based on her own interests, she would have definitely gone somewhere like RainClan. But when Marigoldflame was asked to be deputy of SunClan, the calico knew she couldn't go somewhere without her friend.

Shaking her head quickly, the golden she-cat did her best to smile at Frogsplash, she didn't want to concern her friend with all her burdens, besides, she should be able to handle them, otherwise she wouldn't be worthy of the position Sunstar had given her.
They continued to walk patiently through the territory together, weaving their way between the trees and, jumping up the slightly steeper and rockier mounds of earth. It was good to hear that Frogsplash was settling in, even if it was a bit busy.
"Hopefully things will settle down soon when everyone's decided which Clan they want to live in."
She shook her head gently, "It's good that Sunclan is growing at the rate it is though, I only hope we have the supplies to keep up with it all."
