Description A tiger design I etched onto a copper sheet with a coat of black paint.
You basically buy a thin piece of copper sheet to whichever specification you like, then paint it black (sand the copper sheet first so the paint sticks to the rough surface). Then you get a hobby knife or whatever tool you prefer and scrape the paint away into the design you want. It ends up looking really awesome.

Great Tiger
A cool technique; more durable than paper.

do you "clear coat" the piece when it's done ?

I sprayed it with an aerosol sealer, not the traditional varnish but works well. If you are going to try it make sure you scrape the copper with a fine-grain sandpaper, if you don't the paint wont stick well, it'll just crack and flake. I tried a couple times before I got the method down properly. I think I might make a "The Joker" copper engraving next.

Thanks for the tip, I think I might do a wolf as well, my father's fave animal is a wolf, it'd be a nice gift.

I'm going to draw a wolf, your suggestion inspired me ShadowmoonX.
What do you think sounds better, or more interesting to look at....

1. A lone wolf in the center of a street, drawn from the perspective of someone inside their car, through the windshield.

2. Two huge wolves baring their teeth at eachother. (Huge means elephant sized lol, with humans running away to show perspective)

Let me know what you think sounds better. Please.... Pretty, pretty, please.....Hope I'm not bothering you.

hm... They both sound great... but number 2 sounds the most enhancing and more imaginable.
