Description This time it's the Queen of Country Music. Yesterday i heard some of her albums and i've got the strong desire to draw her. It was a spontaneous idea.

So if you may ask why the hell had butcher drawn just her. Well, i was always and i am still a big fan of her. I adore her unique voice and i love her songs. It was just a matter of time until i would draw her. So here she is.
I took the face from her younger days, at the time when she was a real beauty.

A wonderful portrait of the Queen of country! I understand the fact that Dollys younger years may have suited her better in the sense of Physical appearances, but as Dolly herself says, "I might look artificial, but where it counts I'm real!" and in my personal opinion, I think that her songs, and voice, are as good today as they were back then, but thats probably just my ODD making it's point!

Hey, very nice portrait there! I really think Dolly Parton looks very...unnatural and in fact plasticky now, but her voice is always great to hear.

Hey, don't be so mean....but you're right. Today she looks like a puppet. Horrible.
Fortunatly there is still her unchanged voice.

You actually depicted Dolly here from around 1978 when she still had a gorgeous face and body. Β I've been a fan of hers for many years, have all her albums, and even met her once in person. She's a real country girl when you talk to her. Β And you're right, she did go overboard on the plastic surgery, which is too bad, because her real beauty is inside. Β Her voice is still magnificent, and some of the work she did with Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt is among the finest out there.


But, she realizes her image is her fame as well, and she will probably go on having nips and tucks for years to come.

...at least so long as she wants to look like that barbie, she always intended to be. But who cares, when her music and her unique voice are so damn awesome.

I'm really looking forward seeing her in Berlin this summer.
