The last man on earth sat alone in a room. There was a knock on the door.

You can just imagine the sense of confinement, the claustrophobia, trying to sleep on that cold floor, the discomfort of the chair and butting your head against the chalk board in despair. Overall, pretty grim. Or is that just me?

It is grim. I got the same feeling when I looked at it. It's photos like this that show you that life can always get worse, however bad it is at the moment.

This picture is truly very expressive of that feeling of isolation, and how maddening it can be. The writing on the wall shows the dissonance and chaos of a mind left to its own devices while in solitude, whether physical or emotional solitude. The use of space in the middle with a dirty window shows that there is a way out, but a distorted view, making one uncertain of leaving their uncomfortable comfort zone. And lastly, I love how the chair is facing the chalkboard, but is as far away from it as it can be, like it is backing itself against the wall, trying to get away from the garbled words.
All in all a well composed photograph, and I think the patients will be able to relate to the feelings this image evokes.

A really wonderful comment!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading it, and I'm sure the artist will too.
Keep it up!

It's not every day that I get a response to a comment from another viewer.

That is not a hospital ANYONE should be checked into. Including the mentally insane.
