This mangaka is awesome, I mean Kyousuke Motomi can really draw a face / look in the eyes AND just by seeing the look, you know what they're thinking or what they're feeling.I tried the same, bit of failure, but I think it's the best I can draw for now

The eyes are very distant indeed. The drawing is vague but displays emotion well. The line for the cheek as well implies the structure of the face and the rest of the expression, which I think looks wonderful. Nice picture!
