Such a beautiful breath...1440 by 900. For widescreen monitors...like my 17" Powerbook.

this actually made me sigh. i'm not quite sure what from though, it's a lovely sentiment; the beauty in the silence.
i like the text, and the foreground/background effect it creates, echoed by the butterffly sizes.
i can't quite decide whether i like the effect on her skin or not. it arrests the attention, and makes her look older, and makes the image look more illustrative rather than photo-manip, hmm... i am undecided whether or not that is good!
i only just noticed the shadow, it is actually quite wonderful how you've traced the contour with the distortion of the shade.
anyway, i like it lots.

no problem, it's an intriguing image! hmm... i think in general works with strong faces catch the attention more, and when part of the face has been obscured then it catches the eye more. and it's a very serene image with emotive symbols.

Her neck looks a bit long, and I think the grainyness next to the clear background looks odd, but further great job!!

once again, thank you so much. yeah, im not much for perfect people. i tend to be somewhat of a realist...with a healthy dose of daydream.
i dunno what wallpaper size you have, but ive made this in several sizes if you want it.

I have to disagree with the person that said that this was simplistic,,, when I saw this I saw it as an anti feministic peice I thought it ment "there is beauty in being silent" but I am wrong but I love the grainy over lay it adds acool feel to it

The simplicity of this really drew me to this piece... very good use of negative space...
Nice composition as well...
