Hey thanks. It's a classic, but still one of my favorites.
Sorry 'bout the stupid Flashpoint Design mark on there. For a while I got paranoid about people stealing my stuff, so I re-uploaded everything with that on there. Now I wanna take it off again. Plus, Flashpoint sounds lame to me now anyways.

Simple and effective. A good illustration of the idea. I have a similar one of a man making a phone call through another man's chest, but I lack the skills to see it through yet. The veins look like a tree in his head.
Do you remember where you found the images?

Thanks, it's been a while since I did this piece, but I'm pretty sure I got the images from Photos.com (a subscriber stock site) and Image*After (a free stock site).

haha, i didn't realise it was a big thing.
it seems people have turned it into some kind
of a trademark thats associate with me.
oh well, i try not to dish them out willy nilly.
so i guess when people recieve them, they get excited.
i like it.

Like the whole key to the mind thing, like what's the key to how we think. And how the red is used in such a small quanitity, nice details too

yeah, red makes a really nice accent color, especially if it's not used excessively. thanks!

Wow, wonderful concept with this piece. Interesting use of largely desaturated colors, but then the distinct red of the key. Again, I love the textures and feel of this piece like your others. Nice work

Thanks times 50! It killed me to not do so much to this piece. But in the end, I think its simplicity is what makes it. I'm so happy to see everyone's feedback.

Nicely composed...
I love the detail in the face... a very interesting illustration...
What did you use for the background???
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
patternsinthestatic In reply to jkiner [2005-07-15 16:47:16 +0000 UTC]
the background is an old distressed concrete wall actually.
i didnt draw the head, i found it. everything i use is found. i compose my pieces like a collage, only the elements are found from scouring the internet.

I think it's fantastic... I admire people with this kind of vision...
You have the ability to take media from various sources and align to a common theme...
I can't wait to see more of your work...

interesting that this made you think of forensics... maybe it was the diagram of a human head's muscle structure. not really what i was thinking, but hey, its art. its ambiguous. i like to think that it takes on meaning depending on the person's perspective and that that personal perspective is true. i tend to make art like i make my poetry= i may have an idea of what it may or may not mean, but that doesn't matter when it comes to personal interpretations. whatever you think it is, you're right.
this is the most ive typed in any one comment box. ever.

It just reminded me of a diagram I saw on a forensics show where a guy had a bullet through his brain.
