Description
My reproduction is on the left.Okay, I know this piece is really bad. The problem was that I didn't have good paints. My mom got cheap paint and such, which made it hard to blend and such.Β
This was for a French cultural project. I had to reproduce a painting of a famous French artist. I know it's not the best of my ability. I could do better if I had better paints and more time.
I hope you enjoy.

You got the range of coolers. It is like an abstract of the original.

Well, yeah.Β I've found that cheap materials generally just frustrate you.Β Same in the stuff I've worked with.Β Some of it is just practice too.Β If you had someone who really knew how to paint with watercolors (not me!), I bet they could help you a lot.Β I wish I knew more about painting myself, but you can only practice so many things at a time.
Still, it's cool to try and study what the masters have done and learn from them.Β Keep it up!

Maybe an art teacher knows how to water color? Iβm not sure though. It would be a good try. Itβs too bad that thereβs no art classes that deals with charcoal, watercolour, paint, etc. It seems that itβs cutting out shapes and putting it on paper.

pfffth....
Just looked up this video:Β www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Fgkwcβ¦
It's just something I googled, and found.Β I'm sure there are hundreds of others, of different quality.Β I looked through this one quickly, and it seemed pretty good.
I use the Windsor paints very much like the ones in the video.Β I think this is my actual set on Amazon:
www.amazon.com/Winsor-Newton-Cβ¦
It's a small set, but high quality, and gives you a nice set of colors to start with.

It looks cool!
The ones my mom bought were $5. The one on Amazon was a bit more expensive. Ah, I have a lot of respect for water color artists.

heh... yes, they are a little more expensive, but if you were painting oils, sometimes a single tube of paint would be that much!
And, it may be that, with some technique (like in the video, or others you may find), you may even be able to do better with the inexpensive paints.
Yes, I have huge respect for people who have really learned how to draw out the beauty of watercolors.Β They are amazing.

That is true! And the tubes of paints are expensive, especially at Michaelβs.

I think I bought my set at Michael's, and it was more expensive there, but still far less than tubes.Β The online ones look like they are the same thing for less $$$.Β Β (Just look out for the shipping!)
I may eventually go to tubes, once I get a little better, since I think you can do more with them... but that's probably a long way off still!

I like the forms and textures you were going for, it was a good shot with those paints. One of the hard things is trying to figure out how one type of maternal will behave!had

Excuse me... I was studying impressionism... if you want I could give you a constructive criticism... or an opinion... but I'll wait to know if I'll hear them or not. Before doing it. :3

Best wishes with them Payton!
I'm doing well in general thanks. Aside from only sleeping about 5 hours today if that, I fell asleep around 1am or so and woke at 3:45am then couldn't sleep until 8 or 9am and woke at 11. lolΒ
My eyes are heavy but I still can't sleep. Β
Always lovely to hear from you.

Yikes! That doesn't sound good. I am tired as well and I am so ready for summer vacation so I can catch up with sleep.
It is raining outside where I live, so it is the perfect sleeping weather.

Hmmm one time I and a few others jumped out of the van as it was parking before it came to a full stop (it wasn't fast but still dumb). Another time I got mad for I don't know what reason at a girl in my class and called her pretty bad word (no not that word lol) and right when the teacher was walking in too, timing! ) I got in big trouble for that one as you might imagine.Β
