This was a fun project. This goes in conjunction with the "We Want You" poster. The assignment was to design a logo, which is the image you see above, and then a poster to go along with that company. Again, the company I chose was a friend's clothing line, [link] , and here was the logo I came up with.

Her name's Sakura. I wanted her to be in a defensive position; she's being attacked but is poised for battle. Leg's spread in a manner to take the oncoming attack and not be thrown back from it. Knife positioned so the oncoming attacker will first meet her blade. Then the cape was added to show the company name.

*Currently there's still glue around the edges where I had to glue down the stencil, but Saturday morning, at 11am, the shirt will have sat it's 72 hours and be ready to wash, which will remove the residue.*

The image was first drawn out, then had to be cut from stencil paper. The letters were meticulous. Almost an hour and a half was spent just cutting out the letters. Once everything was cut out, the stencil would have covered everything not painted, so the stencil was placed on there where anything is black. Then I painted around inside the open area of the stencil with a specific paint. You had to do a few coats and it was supposed to sit 3 hours in between each coat.

Sadly the stencil was not keeping the paint from fading underneath. So after the white was all applied, I had to go over and correct everything with some black paint and toothpicks. Cleaned up all the letters, and the whole outline of the image.
