Description
5 piece hand-built *stoneware. Assembled post firing.*High fired stoneware. "Charcoal fired" refers to a firing process developed by Philip Cornelius [link] in which wares are dry stacked in a kiln without shelves, fired to cone 11+. Mesquite charcoal is introduced to the kiln at cone 8 and 11. The goal is to reproduce the surface effects of a wood fired kiln, but in the convenience of a gas kiln.
