Very interesting piece and thought behind it - would like to know more. The stock foto you chose has a great expression for the mood enhancement.
The scarred parts, though they are very dark in contrast - could be because they are new/fresh - however, they would need to be a brighter red if you were going in that direction.
Textures are great.

I like how you blacked out the background.. I have this thing for black, it just seems to work well cuz my eyes are pretty dark too, what it does (to me) is that it makes me look kind of hollow and staring out into nothing.. the picture is originally like that, but this enhance it...
i like the colors you added to my face... that earty, rusty colors..and what looks like rose petals, but I'm not sure if they are.. (what are they?)
