... but she didn't look like Hermione at all.She had done something with her hair; it was no longer bushy, but sleek and shiny, and twisted into an elegant knot at the back of her head.
She was wearing robes of floaty, perriwinkle blue material, and she was holding herself differently somehow, or perhaps that was just the absence of the twenty or so usual books she had slung over her back.

In the movie, they had a major stuff-up with Hermione's dress (well, robes, but It looks more like a dress) so I drew it more or less how I imagine it. Mostly less, because I imagine it a LOT prettier, but I wanted to color something on gIMP, so I did a simple one.
It took about an hour and a half to draw and color. First done in pencil, then scanned and colored in gIMP
The shading around her dress is a little dodgy, but I'm pretty happy with the overall result

I liked that dress,and I thought it looked nice on her.Although I never read the book,so I didn't know her original dress was periwinkle.Still,I think they would've both looked nice.

GIMP is like a simple version of photoshop that you can download or the internet for free. I don't fully understand it actually, but I'm just tinkering around trying to get into it

Plus with GIMP there's the option of layers and effects and you can do some really cool photo manipulation too
