This is a drawing I did for my college Drawing course using graphite pencils. The reference image I used was by Paul Cadmus, Male Nude TS7. 1955 Collection unknown.Related content

Hi Debra,
A well presented work with very good perspective proportions,considering the foreshortened body and legs. I feel that the shading of the soles could be more subdued to present a more rounded appearance. The shadows cast on the bench from the body are well presented and give the impression that the model has weight and is laying on the surface of the bench , not floating .The sepia with graphite works very well. The Gradient in the background further enhances the depth of the work.
A difficult subject reproduced with great attention to proportional detail and shading.
