Believe it or not, I used to be and still am quite clumsy. It's calmed a lot since I was a kid but I was so idiotic at times xD
I'd recommend trying out different martial arts to find which suits you best? For example - not to boast lol - I've done Kendo, Tae-Kwon Do, Ju Jitsu and Kick Boxing as far as I can remember. I always wanted to do tricking or martial arts since I was young so when I got the opportunity, I just went for it. Don't worry about embarrassing yourself, because that's just the way life works and it's a step forward nonetheless, you know?

It's great sports, and the best friends I have are from the club They get on the same wavelength in conversations too, plus we mess around trying to catch each other out by feigning attack and testing their reaction skills I'm learning Wing Chun a tiny bit now too, and it's helped immensely with TKD...

Well, I do karate and judo, not taekwondo, but I will give my take on the crescent kick anyway.

The inside crescent kick, as a strike, is bio-mechanically weak--it puts strain on the knee that it is not designed to handle, it turns the foot in such a way that you expose softer areas of your foot and ankle, and you can't turn your hips over to generate power without putting undue strain on your hip. The crescent kick, to me, was never designed to be a strike--at least, not a strike from standing.

I can safely say that I have never used a crescent kick in self defense drills or in sparring, but I have used it while grappling. From the ground you need to generate power by moving your body as one, rather than driving with the legs and hips, so your power is limited already, but you can roll with the crescent kick much more easily than if you were standing, thereby reducing the strain on your joints. I have used it to push hands away, sweep a standing attacker's legs and even kick my leg over their head to lock down an armbar.

Still, it's a fun picture and a neat trick that some people do use in sparring

I probably wouldnยดt mess with either of you. but now I know at least that I should not try to kick you.

Unfortunately a punch is faster than a kick, especially an inside crescent kick. All these things you learn as you become more advanced

One-step is about showing specific moves so it's closer to patterns where you demonstrate control. Of course it's not practical unless you have agility, which I don't right now because my knee's damaged -_-; โ€ฆ But I love it anyway.

I can, but I hurt my knee so stretches are a bit painful, even if I can go 180โ€ฆ I have a pic of me doing that, but I don't know if I'll put it up.
