Description
One of the most simple and classic ways of making fantasy creatures is combining aspects of multiple known animals. The challenge for this project was to create an animal that was designed and made by humans to fight off a killer robot apocalypse, BUT... also serve mankind after the war to help rebuild civilization. Okay... here we go...Combining the features of an Angler fish, Bat, Beetle, and Lobster the Omega Bugger is an all purpose super creature. Its physical features are many and varied in purpose. The design of these creatures is to be natural weapons against machinery during war, multipurpose labor animals all the time, and quiet neighbors to humanity during peace.
1) An outer carapace made of chitin that hardens into a metallic substance the older the creature gets. This armor protects it from killer robots, and helps conduct electricity. When the animal is killed, this carapace can be harvested for material for crafting/building.
2) Large crustacean claws for crushing robots, metal in general, minerals, digging, moving heavy objects, and opening cans... big ones.
3) Four bat like wings with a stretchy membrane that conducts and enhances electrical charges. These are used for flying, and enhancing currents that the animal produces.
4) Eight stout crustacean legs. These enable the creature to move both underwater, over land, and even allow it to cling onto surfaces and hang upside down when it sleeps. These are a great source of sea food.
5) Antennae lights. These are used by the creature to create light in dark places such as mines or tunnels, communicate with its species, and signal humans or warn killer robots. This is the secondary use for the electricity in its body.
6) Powerful electromagnetic nervous system. This highly electric organic system allows the creature to emit EMP bursts to destroy killer robots, generate light, send out radar signals, and power non-sentient machines built by humans.
7) An inner body made up of mineral rich fish and crustacean meat. These creatures contain lobster DNA, so they never die of age, and keep growing indefinitely. When they are killed, they provide a proportionate amount of delicious meat.
8) Nocturnal hunting instinct. These creatures do not enjoy living on the surface of the world, and will happily inhabit mines that they dig out for humans after they have been stripped of resources. They only come out at night and thus will not frighten the kids and elderly.
9) Bio-electric territoriality. These creatures hate things that produce alot of electric currents, such as rivals and killer robots. They do not show any aggression to humans and most animals, making them easy to domesticate, train, breed, and utilize for improving society.
10) Manageable breeding. These creatures breed by making water filled nests, laying eggs in them, and fertilizing them later. They only breed annually, and have very specific conditions for mating and nesting. Thus humans can keep them from overpopulating easily.
