Description
My first attempt at a panorama shot. Maybe clichΓ© but I love that place and how it came. The only thing I don't like at all are the lamps, they came out sooo bad, but dunno how to set up the camera to have them properly done. Any suggestion?

Very well put together Penelope. I love panoramic / letterbox format pictures anyway, but this is amazing. I really love the fact that the balcony etc is so sharp. The clarity is great. I see what you mean about the lamps in the distance - they seem to have a pinkish tinge to them compared to the ones in the foreground. I wouldn't change it though, except mabe to change the colouring in PS to make them a bit more uniform in colour. I think it adds to the atmosphere as it is though.
Simple framing and well-chosen font finish it off nicely

Thank you for the suggestion Del, I'm gonna try to change the color of those lamps and all the rest asap, so that i can try and submit it before leaving italy.
Thanks for the compliments and have a Happy New Year!

I loooove the asymmetry of this image. The contrast between the rocks and the sea, the sky and the buildings...excellent composition in that respect.
Also, I love the fact that there's so much to look at...how the sky and sea change as my view shifts...the lights on the shore...
As one who gets bored kinda easy I really like what you've done with this one

I have to admit that this wonderful place played a great part on the photo. I spent there the whole day and kept looking at that scene the whole evening. Unluckily not all the shots were so good, otherwise I would've shared them here. I hope next time I get there I'll be able to get some more good shots, 'cause the place is really worth

This is gorgeous Penny - there is something wonderful to see no matter wher you look - from the sun kissing the horizon, the the ship, to the lights on the far shore and those lovely rocks at the bottom right.
Only 3 faves? Odd numbers aren't good - so

gorgeous.
so clean,
and the long exposure
gives it a dream-like ambience...
i'd crop out the right side (balcony thing area)
cause it's a tad distracting,
but thats just me....

Hi! first off thanks for commenting
Actually, it's distracting for me as well, but without it there was no proportion between the water and the land...so i'm trying to improve my PS skills and I'm creating (...erm, trying to ) a bush to cover the whole thing. If it works you'll see the result very soon
And what abouth the lights?
do you think lens-flare shapes would be better? or what else?
Thank you soo much for the useful suggestion, here it's really appreciated!

The light's will always do that star effect with those exposures, doesnt look bad tought, could only advice you in trying various expositions, this one looks great tought

Very nicely stitched together. And I really like the exposure, you've got nice lighting here. Dunno why you don't like the lamps...I think they belong there and add to the atmosphere of the picture.

I just would have liked to have some more sharp or flared lights, exp the farthest ones are odd imho.
btw I'm glad you like the shot, i think it's one of my favourite in my gallery
