Description
Is she an angel or a devil, or both? This could be another study in the duality of character, but more likely it has somethng to do with my theological creature fetish. Very similar to another picture which also explores duality/theological fetishes.Drawing pencilled and inked by hand, colored in photoshop.

I like that when she is the devil she is naked...its intresting like it makes a comment about how we veiw the senusality and blatnet sexuality of female nudity...like lingire obviously singifies sex but when she is good she is wear cute pink lingire but when she is "bad" she is naked I dont think it was intitanal and it is by no means a critisim more over an intresting comment on how we few the naked female form...

It's a combination of a couple things; the dark shadows are their own layer applied over the midtone, the highlights are done with the airbrush tool on screen mode at about 20% opacity.
I use the selection tool to isolate the colors to keep the edges neat, but pretty much I just eyeball it and hand draw the highlights and shadows with my mouse.
That's a pretty simplified version, but basically that's the process.

i guess i need more pracice with complicated shapes/forms, most of what i draw is toony, thus they are an oversimplification of what the form actually appears as in real life.
