This is a satirical look at the recent news story about Texas changing their public school curriculum and adopting history textbooks that will present American history with a spin on it instead of a more objective vantage point.

The changes include focusing more on historical figures who were "more Christian" than others (Thomas Jefferson will be cast aside due to his deist beliefs), promoting the "successes" of the Confederate army during the American Civil War (they actually lost the war), renaming the slave trade the "Atlantic triangular trade" in an effort to make it sound nicer, and suggesting that Senator Joe McCarthy's witch-hunt on supposed communists was an heroic form of patriotism.
