The three most popular times claimed by people when asked when they get there best ideas seem to be:
A) When on the toilet
B)While bathing
C) While on the verge of falling asleep
I Have often wondered why this was. I believe I have found an answer.
The way the global culture is, these instances are when we are almost as cut off from the culture as we can be. We are only more free from the constraints the culture puts on us when we are dreaming. And it is these points of almost freedom that allow us to think outside of the box culture creates, allows us to imagine something fantastic, while still having a bridge at one point or another to the culture. This bridge allows for people to take part in the fantastic without fully abandoning normality, and allows the fantastic to be mroe readily accepted by those grounded in normality.
