Description
Personal piece. Here's another steampunky idea. I thought the port of Hartlepool in the northeast of England would be a fitting location for a steampunk picture. It was a huge shipbuilding centre in Victorian times, and must have been an amazing sight in its heyday.I'm not happy with the placement of the figures, but can't see a way of rearranging them without obscuring too much of the back and midground.

Absolutely gorgeous, I love the rainy gloom and the subtle squalor of the shot, I think the figures look fine too

There are three contrasting technological layers in this scene: pre-industrial, early industrial and 21st century. This is awesome!

That's cool, the atmosphere you've created works really well, all that's missing is a monkey-hanging!!!

I really love the atmosphere that you have created here. Reminds me a bit of Bladerunner. The craft looks more futuristic than steampunk to me though. Still great picture.

Ohhh I love Steampunky stuff! I think I could stare at this all day and just got lost in this amazing atmosphere and setting you created! There is so much to take in and explore with the eyes and it's all one fantastic trip along the way! Superb as always!

This rain effect is amazing work!
The technique for me is elusive, so it's sort of "magic".
I really like the lantern, too.
In my opinion, the placement of the figures is fine.
It's not a strange composition, but there IS something
different about it.
Different in a way that keeps me locked in looking at this scene.
Well done!!

steampunk is cool, there simply isn't enough (that's well done). love the "murkiness/blottiness" of this image, it really lends to the feel of the weather and sets the atmosphere.
