Description
Leon was the only son of the Grand Master of the Slaver's Guild. Like his father, he was broad in the shoulders and handsome in the face with sea green eyes to contrast his dark olive skin. Unlike his father, who had always favored the whip and the torture rack in the breaking of slaves, Leon employed more subtle methods.

After three days in her cell, talking to no one and living only on the tasteless gruel and tepid water that was shoved under the door every morning, two guards came and took Glenda to the top battlements of the castle. There, Leon was waiting for her. He led her over to a gap in the wall overlooking the thousand foot cliffs that dropped straight to the jagged rocks of the shore line. Glenda thought she could see her ship still docked in the harbor, but with her eyes still adjusting to the sunlight she could not be sure.

"Let me go, you bastard." she managed through parched lips and a raw throat.

Leon turned around and smiled. "Today you have a choice." He looked over the edge to the rocks below. "You can choose freedom, or you can choose to accept your fate as a slave."

"Wha-? Freedom?!"

Leon looked over the edge again. "There are only two ways out of this castle." He picked up a small pebble. "Through the auction block, or through this door." He tossed the pebble over the edge through the gap in the battlements. "Your choice, but either way it will be the last choice you make."

Glenda froze. Her blood turned to ice as she looked over the ledge.

"You can have a push if you need it. I would give you that courtesy"

"No." she whispered, she shifted away from the ledge before Leon pulled her back to it.

Leon looked down at her. "No, what?"

Glenda hung her head and looked at the ground. "No... master." Her face flushed with embarrassment at the words.

Leon smiled "It is always the same. The proud ones always give in the fastest." He turned and motioned to his men. "Prep her for auction." He paused. "No, wait. I'll do that myself."
