I've never dyed my hair either, though I was, kind of still am, a swimmer so the ends got bleached a little.
My mom also went through the blonde-to-brown hair, glasses at a young age thing.

Age seven you reminds a lot of myself when I was younger. My hair used to be really blonde too, with being out in the sun all the time and whatnot. Except, I wore shoes only when I had too. Otherwise, a I always barefoot.
Also, I wore a jacket a lot in middle school because of similar reasons.

When I was little I was outside a lot so the sun was naturally keeping it light.
Then as my self esteem plummetted over the years I started to lock myself in my room for days on end and my hair got darker from lack of sun exposure.
