"Not quite. It's presentation, Ms. Aensland. It's the way in which one's collection is displayed. How it is wielded. The weak and simple collect things solely for the joy of having them. But, as you'll soon learn, a collection is a tool as well. It can intimidate. A properly curated exhibit can titillate, but can also be a useful reference. And you're going to be very useful."

"I am glad that you asked. You're my first demoness, of course. I'm under the impression that it's hard to keep magic-users for very long. Is that right?"

"Hmmgnh."

"You're not much of a conversationalist, Morrigan. Is something wrong? Is it the gag? Too small?"

"Ah, so you're complaining about the strict hogtie you're in? Get used to it. I have it on good authority that demons like you are impossible to keep forever, so I'm going to make every waking moment useful and memorable. Your body is mine to do with as I please. You're going to be an objet d'art one day, and a research specimen the next. Why, soon enough, we'll figure out a way to keep succubi from disappearing in the night... and I'll be able to have you as a permanent member of my collection."

I meant to share this around Halloween, but I've sort of been away from deviantArt for a bit. Some self-reflection. Thinking about where to store more than a decade's worth of work.
