A long week. A long holiday. No rest when you're at the top.

Phantom insisted on drinking wine from an expensive crystal glass. It didn't matter if nobody could see her. She knew that she was indulging in luxury; in precious, limited resources. Consumption was its own statement. Ownership was its own statement.

There was a new doll, a new employee in the gallery. Generous curves. Long tails. All of them, all of them properly ensconced in advanced MirageCorp products. No face, no identity, no will of its own. Not even a name, unless Phantom decided on it.

A glowing hologram appeared, indicating that the subject's mind and body alike were properly, properly locked. Phantom thought to herself how much movement she could coax out of a locked-up doll if she activated the right stimulation protocols.

She luxuriated in the possibility. Even without stimulation, the doll knew that Mistress Phantom was there. It was its own form of edging.

Phantom took a sip of wine, and her face turned to a smile.
