Description
Her pale legs glowed in the moonlightTraveling the night's dead darkness.
Dancing on a pond frozen to ice,
Her tears icy and tasteless.
Hands like the wings of butterflies;
Delicate in the raging wind
Fluttering to a tune only she could hear.
Written with her dancer's soul.
I sit at the brink of ice
Watching her dance out
The nightmare of dreams.
Watching her hair whip in the night
The color of silver moons.
Rose petals fell from orchard trees
Basking the ice in solid blood;
Staining the pond with cherry.
Crystallized flowers covered her eyes
And her mouth, her body;
Sinking into the depths of her skin.
The glass of iced roses flung in the air
Cutting through her heart, her invisible soul,
Molding her blood into crystal gems.
She fell to the ground, surround by roses
Then she looked at me, her eyes red...
and laughed.
My paintbrush fell to the ground
Splattering the painting with ruby.
The dancer's body forever embalmed with crimson.
Her body to the devil,
Her soul to the dance.

Beautiful. Poetic in the way poetry is supposed to be.
