I wouldn't know. I've never taken a discernible photo of fog.

You'll have your day. It's a good idea to get up very early, as in 1 1/2 hours before the sun comes up. Also, it loves to hide in valleys and behind forests, and it thrives in warm-ground-vs-cold-air spots, such as the lake in my picture, or even after a good rain.
