Description
I`ll go on with some local landscape stock photography.This is the "Glaner Braut" next to Dötlingen in Lower Saxony, Germany... just a few kilometers from my home. A very mystical old place... no one really knows why the stones are here.
We have nearly 50 of those places all around within a space of 20 square kilometers.
The photo was taken by Jutta Luft.

There are so many wonderful elements in this picture. The lighting is great. The clouds, the texture of the rocks...you can even see the texture of the dirt on the path...it looks like I could reach into the picture and pick some dirt up off the ground and run it through my fingers...the shadows. There are just so many things working together to make this the shot that it is.

thats a lot of rock piles for one area!
Maybe the knights of old treated them as something special? and your a son of the stones

Aye... and you usually can`t find those rocks in this area. We have just sand and forrests.
No... knights were christians... and the christians took many of these formations apart to build churches with the rocks.
Christianity was very very busy destroying everything "old".
Everything our anchestors or the romans have left in the landscape was "the devil`s work" for medieval people so they wouldn`t ask any questions and just believe "the word of god". Keeping people uneducated and ignorant is the best way to control them.
That`s what the church always did.
