Whoa I haven't submitted a deviation in a long while!
Here are some commissioned plushies. They're apparently Zuko and Aang from Avatar. I don't know anything about them, but my commissioners gave me some good refs so they were pleasant to make.
I espescially like Aang cuz he's BALD! hahaha (I find it funny because most people commission me for my plushies' crazy hair, but he's hairless!) And his ears are so funny.
And I liked painting Zuko's bruised/burnt/disfigured area.
Ack, I still have so many commissions left... *runs off to sew*

You know what? That's crazy, i just finished watching avatar yesterday.. And that's the biggest regret of my life because i didn't start to watch since it's relased 5 years ago..

omg wow great job with this i love the attention to detail you did since alot of idiots wouldn't notice that zuko is missing an eyebrow or that aang ha tatoos on his hands too. though there is a aang with hair and a headband that looks like a mini zuko

Their arms naturally hang down because I made the pattern that way.

Cool! The Avatar is a great serie, and although you don't know that serie, you've managed to give them the right personalities, judging their expressions.
I can imagine it would be weird to create a bold guy

And naw, making a bald character is actually easier since I don't have to put in the extra hours of layering felt! And I've actually made ears before (on my larger plushies), so that wasn't hard either. All in all, he was very fun to make, and the result is super cute, so I'm happy.

Maybe the first time when making their hair was new and exciting, but now it's become second-nature, so it's kind of boring, lol!
The most fun part for me is making the patterns.

Creating the patterns, hmmm... First that was challenging for me, but now it has become a routine which takes long because of the accuracy. And I'm always afraid that I would make an error which I'll notice when I'm sewing already X|. Don't you have these problems?
I can imagine it would be quite satisfying to find the right materials. I just use one kind of cloth, and since I have enough different colours of that cloth, I don't have to buy new materials.

Oh, of course I have those problems too! Sometimes, I go through 2-3 patterns and sewn failures (and wasted fabric!) before getting it right. But that's the beauty of it.
You should try different fabrics, just for fun.

2-3 patterns?! I'm always glad if I've finished a part. Only if it is really bad I will remake it, since I don't like that at all. Maybe because you do commissions while I'm doing it just for fun?
About the fabric; the problem is that I have too much of it xD. Since my plushies aren't big, I just need a little part of the fabric, so I try to use all the fabric that I didn't use for my previous plushies.

lol, that's why I made so much Bleach cuz it's about the only popular show I know! (although, I've fallen out now, so if people hound me with new characters, I'm back to square one).
Learning how to use a sewing machine is a good investment, so you should tackle that skill!
Yup, it's acrylic paint (fine arts quality though; and for the detailing on the clothes, I actually gessoed the area first).
