Description
They were closing up the coffee shop my daughter works at so I took this shot from outside the window.Β It's a very nice little shop in a corner strip mall and has a comfy ambient feel inside.Related content

I love the title, reminds me of one of my favorite Leonard Cohen songs.

Suddenly a strange feeling arose. A long time ago around me only faceless cafes - with faceless staff and faceless visitors. But now... hmm ... as if I re-read Ray Bradbury.

Loved Ray Bradbury, have most of his books but I don't remember which book this is from

Oh, I don't mean a particular book. Just when I read, for example, the Irish cycle or "Dandelion Wine", the feeling that comes up is somewhat similar to what happened when I looked at your photo.Β Warm sadness and expectation of something that will necessarily continue(?). I find it difficult to express, especially in my bad English

No, no you did just fine right there. Yes I think I understand what you mean
Whats interesting is that I had a similar feeling when I was editing the image. There is a certain sadness when I remember the place with people and sitting there myself enjoying coffee and talking with folks. This image for me was the first time I ever saw it with no one there. So sadness from good memories that aren't there just then and the odd feeling "what if they never come again" sort of a feeling. Even though I never knew most of the people, faceless to me, I would miss them being there.Β

Thank you
Next time though I will try not to be in such a hurry and work on negating the blurriness of the double pane window

I guess sometimes its hard to step back from the technical aspect and flow with the creative "it is what it is" direction.Β
Maybe I need another sticky note but this one on my camera
btw, its interesting how after our talk about b&w images that I have started looking at some shots with the eye for "how would this look in b&w". Like that little sprout pic, I completely repositioned myself to get a shot for b&w.
