I love .hack//ROOTS because basically, its an anime based on a video game, and within a videogame!
You see the main character's player...but you never actually see him staring at his computer screen! You have a videogame view of everything! XD

His eyes are indeed that color, unbalanced and what not. O_O; Spoiler maybe. But all you need to know is: Usually this eye color thing is a bad thing for everyone... i just felt like drawing it for once! (Its been a theory since the beginning)

There is some coding in Deviantart where.... you can put those icons in the comments.... to do so you type in :icon(name of deviant):

yes. I too have been bullied, but it wasnt really that bad at all. In freshman year I moved and was feeling highly unconfident coming into a bigger school than ever before. For the entire year, some random guy (who was much shorter than me and clearly wanted to impress his friends) kept ganging up on me and drowning me in bad nicknames. I felt horrible. But after than year, when I saw him again, he didnt say anything to me (hes taller than me now..maybe thats all he needed xD)
....and I have never had it as bad as you and nicksnack. (probably wsnr too) Of course I've had my self confidence crushed resulting in a complete afternoon of crying. But I cry easily so it means nothing! >D

Although his eye color shifts naturally from shades of blue, this white one is quite unnatural... and proves to be a curse later on in the series.
I like the un-symmetry of it. Yazu is never a balanced person. So it has a metaphorical meaning too.
