Description
1934 German 2 foot gauge 0-4-0 steam locomotive in regular service at the Loon Mountain Ski Resort in New Hampshire.

This isn't a tourist line to nowhere, this locomotive is used to haul passengers a half mile between two ski lifts. This is a very real passenger hauling operation, just a bit on the small side.

Despite some more american features shoved onto the little thing, she's still very German under it all. 12kg/cm2 works out at about 175 PSI. The boiler was de-rated to 100 to keep the inspectors happy, although the boiler is still more than capable of handling 175.
