I'm not an artist, that should be obvious but I had fun doodling this. Fox and Krystal's meeting and Krystal's later separating in the video made me think of Phoenix and Iris...

I really like Iris. She's my favorite character in the Ace Attorney series. I really wish she had shown up again in at least one later game, but alas, it hasn't happened yet. Despite this, I still have faith she'll appear again. Even if it's just to ask Phoenix and co. if they have the time and then leave immediately afterward.

I'm too old now to care about shipping, but I still really wish Phoenix and Iris had ended up together, and I wish Iris could have gotten to know her new family members Maya and Pearl; two sweet girls that wouldn't manipulate her like Ms. Dahlia Hawthorne. For nearly 15 years now, I've thought this, and it's my biggest wish for a mainstream Ace Attorney game (along with Gumshoe coming into the present, pal). Phoenix and Iris are honestly the only fictional couple that I've ever cared about whether they got together at some point or not. I think their story is emotional, and they could start over. I dunno, just looking at them, I think they both work well together.

I think it could be done in an organic way that wouldn't derail the series into a lovey-dovey, slice-of-life virtual novel, nor turn Iris into the next Poochie from The Simpsons (Athena: "She's totally in my face!").

Like, I dunno, just make an offhand remark when examining something, that way it doesn't derail the game and it could be completely optional. As lame as it sounds, I really like both characters, and I want them to be happy, even if they are fictional.

This doodle is horrid, but I’m leaving it here for motivation. I’m not submitting anything after these three doodles until I reach a style that I’m satisfied with…and I have high standards.
