I cannot think of a name for him so the outrageously imaginative name of "Robot" is only temporary.
I did this guy a while ago but have been unable to take a photo that does him justice hence the medley of mediocre photos.
The flowery painted bits are supposed to be his footsteps (kind of like in Princess Mononoke)

This little guy is awesome. I love the wooden propellers and the shapes. I think try taking your pictures from bellow to make him appear dominate in the frame. It might give him the look you want.

I love the design. That pipe/strut running from his back to the backpack is great detail. It's the kind of think that I would hesitate in including, because it's not "stylish". Once it's there though, it lends so much depth to the piece. It emphasizes the FUNCTIONALITY of this being. It's here to perform a task and that task is most definitely PHYSICAL and MECHANICAL.

this is one of the coolest sculptures that I have ever seen. the flowers on the base board really make the eyes pop out.
