Hahaha man, this is an OLD OLD picture.
Y'all have (hopefully) met Winter Carol and Laurel, whose name was previously Sugar Poppy, before.
When I first procured them up my sister pitched the idea that they would be a cute perspective couple, mostly because I gave them similar jobs and ages.
I did agree it would be cute, and although I had other plans for them, I decided to leave them open to either each other or others. For now.
Anyhow, I made this shortly after the concept arose. Walking home after a long school day Winter gets stuck in a bad rainstorm. Being an irrevocable and stubborn dork he presses on. Laurel, passing by because (and this is my sister's idea as well) she lives in the town he works in and he lives in the town she works in. Taking pity upon poor drenched earth pone, Laurel flutters down in the downpour and whips up a little cloud to shield him from the rain for a bit.
She starts a bit of conversation and offers to follow him to a nearby bus station.
Despite how friendly and upbeat Winter is in the classroom, Laurel is a bit intimidating when she gets friendly. He acted a bit sheepish and quiet, quite opposite to his norm.
He politely declined the offer, but she was very persistent.
After much back-and-forth he gives in and she escorts him to a bus station.
She gives him her number and leaves.
