I never noticed how much like a toad Scissorman looks. I've seen various incarnations of the character but a mutant Charles Laughton look really works for him. It's so different than the lithe or brutish frame usually used for psychopaths that it immediately makes it unique. You can almost imagine this fat, deformed thing running hunched over with one protruding eye scraping the scissors along the ground and snipping them together spastically.

Yeah, his sprite seems more like a mini-hunchback or phantom of the opera. Even though I usually draw him more kid-like, I do like this design idea better.

This game is amazing. You can even watch the "Clock Tower" movie which title is "Phenomena" but it's different and it's a precursor of the game, made by Dario Argento (Horror-thriller master director) in 1970-1980 can't remember and there you have... Jennifer... crazed lady... crazed children... just Jennifer is a "mushinime-sama" in the movie... she can feel the insects instincts and feelings...
This scene is inspired by Suspiria, always by Argento.
