ok, so i jumped onto dA and saw one of the Daily Deviations that inspired me to try and make a shiny latexy kinda material. the actual deviation that i used as a reference is [link] by ~blackfantastix .

it took a while. playing around with lighting and the actual material and stuff, but i think i got something thats very much like it. another new thing is the bezier nurbs. something i havn't played around with before. i think it looks quite good.

and yes. i've been thinking i might use this material in an abstract render just to make something slighltly different.
