Description
Although the new Earth Spacedock design proved to be highly unpopular with Starfleet and the general population alike,the design was retained for use by Starfleet’s Advanced Starship Design Bureau and The Corps of Engineers in the Form of Starbase 210,a.k.a. Starbase Edwards or “the Yard”. Located in a remote stretch of space known as the Bonneville Flats,Starbase Edwards was where Starfleet tested new propulsion systems. It was also where the Starfleet Corps of Engineers had it’s primary experimental laboratories for testing new-and potentially dangerous-technologies and engineering-related techniques.
