Background: Adeline grew up in a small village outside of Esterpine. Ever since she was a kid, she'd admired dragon riders and wanted to know everything she could about them. Never mind the fact that there were no other riders in her family. So, the day of her choosing ceremony was pretty much the BEST day of her life, in her opinion (well, maybe it's second to her dragon hatching, or to graduating from the academy, but really how can she choose between the three?). That year, with her little baby dragon accompanying her, she also got to see the dragon games for the first time, and she knew. She knew she was destined for greatness.
