Background: The youngest of her siblings, Bryn was sent to the Academy when she was a baby to protect her identity while Sailos was missing. Raised as Bryn Altham, the only condition under which she would learn of her heritage is if something horrible happened to her whole family. No matter how many times she tried to needle it out of the instructors, they always gave her the same story: her parents were close friends of the headmaster and passed away when she was very young, so she was entrusted to their care. Even though this explanation was completely plausible, Bryn always wondered if maybe there was more to the story. Overall, she has enjoyed her life at the Academy. During the lonely summer breaks, she spends most of her time in the library or flying with her dragon.
